I’m just confused that people sleep with their bedroom doors closed. Like I get why you might with kids or roommates in theory but in the summer my house would never cool down without cross breezes from having all the windows open with fans in them.

No problem. I think we’re on the same page about pet owners often being stupid, abusing the system, and giving service animals a bad name.

I didn’t mean to imply they had no restrictions. Their owner must have a letter from a health care practitioner and both airlines and landlords do have the right to request this documentation.

Emotional support animals must “prescribed” by a healthcare provider. The animal itself is in no way assessed only the need of the patient. Of course this is now being abused by online doctors, just like medical marijuana is in many states.

Emotional support animals actually do have a legal definition and a few protections one of which is air travel(the other is some forms of housing rentals).

Emotional support dogs are not service dogs. They serve very different functions and have different rights and standards.

I have no overwhelming desire to say the n-word and I will go out of my way to avoid it. I do wish I had a more creative way to deal with it than just avoiding literature that includes it in educational settings or treating it totally differently, not reading parts aloud, than other texts.
