I have no overwhelming desire to say the n-word and I will go out of my way to avoid it. I do wish I had a more creative way to deal with it than just avoiding literature that includes it in educational settings or treating it totally differently, not reading parts aloud, than other texts.

I loved Acorn TVs adaption of the Agatha Raisin mysteries. There’s murder but it’s not terribly distressing as the focus is on silly characters solving the murder. And it’s sweet, not in a treacly way but the main characters seem genuinely  human. They make mistakes and are sometimes petty but good at heart. Well…

Rapists can still rape in prison :(

My view has nothing to do with rapists rights and everything to do with victims. I’m arguing that rehabilitation can prevent people from getting raped/harmed.

None of them can ever be rehabilitated? I think younger juvenile offenders definitely can be and maybe some older ones as well. My partner is a mental health practitioner that has done a lot of work with sex offenders.

I am a survivor too. Rehabilitation isn’t about improving perpetrators lives. It’s about preventing reoffending. So as much as I may like the idea of increasing stigma and making rapists suffer I ultimately care more about having them never ever do it again.

Which charities are less biased?

The quests are the only reason zoning matters. Keep all of your residential in one part, services in another, ect.
