I still don’t understand why a new Mouton or similar hasn’t been found for F1 or the other big racing championships. If a female driver was demonstrating champion level skills in the lower ranks, why hasn’t a sponsor just grabbed on to them? Seems like a stupid easy marketing decision.

This. Strength and being fit are important. However, a woman that gets into the same shape as Lewis Hamilton or the average F1 driver is not going to need to be jacked like a lineman. It is a type of fit that is perfectly reasonable for one to achieve. Jorda is right, she was never going to be on equal footing with

Damn, this guy is a hero.

This. Reliable daily driver track toy is unrealistic. Once it becomes good at the latter, it will suck at the former, no matter what car you get.

I was going to link that clip! After you see that clip, you really start noticing a lot of moments like that from the characters.

Thankfully, my kids never liked Caillou and grew out of Daniel Tiger quickly. My 3 year old is all about Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly. Not going to lie, some of those are pretty hilarious - those British kids can be savage. I like to think they have taken to British shows because they have absorbed so much F1 coverage,

Just like toys, there is something to be said about teaching quality over quantity.

50 kids??? That’s insane. That is way too many for any kid to have at 4 years old. Talk about making meaningful relationships...

If you haven’t already picked it up, find The Little Red Racing Car. It’s a very cool story with excellent illustrations about a father/son barn find. The author has one other book out (The Greatest Race) and just released his third (a father/daughter book about a Porsche).

Toy cars are a slippery slope. At first, one or two hotwheels or die cast cars sounds great, then, it’s full on cars and coffee there. Oh, we’re talking about the kids? This one has been fun to share with them; it’s nice to share a passion with your kids early on that they can actually enjoy (they may like being in

Yeah, I know you are right for the rationale and I don’t want to see a return to the killer years, but opening it up more would be more interesting. I want my cake and eat it, too!

Number 3 is an interesting take - I hadn’t thought about the DRS functioning backwards. Maybe the aero can just be fully adjustable in both directions during the race. Not sure if the drivers would like having another button to push, but it would open up some interesting possibilities.

Monaco is the track I most want to like, but it’s just not good for modern cars.

I still don’t like how DRS has to be activated only within certain zones. I don’t mind that the cars have to be within a certain distance to use it, but I kind of like the idea of just letting it be active throughout the track. You mess up and fly off the track because you were too ambitious with it, that’s on you.

My initial reaction was the same as yours. A big “nope”.

They mention the Hellfire Club and we have a blonde telepath that is named after a Stepford Cuckoo (not yet confirmed she is one, but we know she is one). The writers tried a bit of misdirection with her, but she’s on the side of the mutants. Maybe she’s part of the Gifted’s version of the Hellfire club.

I wonder if evangelical conservatives would be for or against this. Wouldn’t becoming immortal translate that you are becoming like god and that is a huge sin for them? I mean, they would have to practice what they preach, but let’s assume they are true to their word here. Seems like a Tower of Babel issue here.

I hear this one a lot when people talk about the downside of immortality. I just can’t agree with this. There will always be something that brings you joy (or misery) to keep you from getting bored. Unless you end up in some sort of Hulk post existence world where it is just you and the heat death of the universe,

Mrs. spngr311 already has those feelings!

I like it when manufacturers do these little branding details in a nondescript way. They don’t need to have a light broadcasting the brand/model, but small touches are nice.
