At first glance, the price does seem ambitious, but I think you are right about what you get for the money. If there aren’t a ton of options and it comes well equipped at the price, then maybe it will work out. As it is, I am skeptical that Kia will be able to compete at this price point.

I always thought the two badges on the front seemed weird. Why have the grill badge then have a smaller badge right above it on the hood?

These are two of my top complaints, especially the tablet screens. There isn’t a single interior that the stuck on tablet screen looks good in.

Hopefully there won’t be the same letdown with the Kia Stinger GT...

I can confirm all of those after driving it for a few minutes. The thing is, my dad was coming from an 02 F-150 and hasn’t had anything fast in 40 years, or anything that handled well for the last 30. To him, the Veloster Turbo is like a go kart.

I agree. The first Cars movie was really good. I can watch that movie any time and love sharing that with my kids. I think some of the problem is that people are judging the first movie because of the second. Taken together, yes, mediocre, but separate them and the first is awesome and second is trash.

Regarding the Ranger being bloated - the current F-150 is huge. An ‘02 F-150 is actually much smaller when you see the two together. While not a small pick-up like the old Rangers (which themselves did grow through their generations), it will be small compared to “full size pickups”.
