I feel the commentary is a little one sided, it throws offenders of varying degrees in one pot. Zelda BotW you metioned did nothing with it aside from some cringe-cute moments. There are distasteful examples, sure, but there are distasteful incarnations in nearly every trope.

But did he though? He said “THOSE people” and /said/ people who want to force their views on others, scream rape when someone looks wrongly at them or circumvent their own rules in favour of their own agenda.

I do partially agree with you though that the way he presented this particular argument was poorly executed.
