I wasn’t implying that the guy was in the right for asking for all new stuff. I’m saying that Dom severely downplayed what it is to have something done without his permission, in what is his property. He was saying like, oh well, no harm no foul.
Can I go into your home for repairs, get some leftovers from your fridge, watch some TV, go for a dive in the swimming pool and leave? Would you be ok with that? After all, the roast beef I ate isn’t some irreparable damage...
Camry and Tacoma owners are looking for reliability. Supra owners will be looking for something else...
Let’s get this straight: a paraplegic guy goes on the freakin’ Dakar by bike, and your comment is “oh motorbike sounds old, we haven’t called motorcycles that in ‘Murica since I was a lil’ girl”.

I HAVE SEEN THIS AUTOMOBILE, or one exactly as you described. In Florida, right?
Yes, but how do you measure the speed of said Bald Eagle? Is it Flight Bald Eagle-days, or Diving Bald Eagle-days? I suppose one could do an average as well.
So you know your trip is exactly 3.015 miles long, and you know that you’ve done 3 already. You think, oh, only 0.015 miles to go? No, I’m sure you have to convert it to some other unit to grasp the distance.
“Mass is based on ~7000 cereal grains for the pound, a thousandth of a cubic meter of water for kilogram.”
