Why would it be illegal? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just curious how that would work.

If a person loses their wallet, that person is made to suffer from not having their money, ID, family photos, et cetera. Returning it to them if found is doing the right thing because you are preventing that suffering.
You are saying that as if the corporation cared about the guy. They gave him the things just as a PR move as the guy had gone public, nothing more.
People need to stop humanizing companies, corporations are not your friends.
Blizzard gave the guy peanuts for that disc.
Sounds like a Bioware game decision that has repercussions for the sequel.
simply for the goal of preservation of history I would have absolutely ripped the contents and made them available freely on the internet. that disc is an important piece of history and it would be a shame to just give it to Blizzard so they can put it in a display case somewhere for years where it will just…
That’s because you’re a tool. Bet that’s not the first time.
It’s not. Blizz just pulled a Native American trade deal on this selfish idiot.
What a selfish piece of shit this guy is. Bowing to a corporation and accepting their bribes instead of archiving something like this online and sharing it.
I ordered a best buy gamer club membership card online. Instead of 1 card I was sent 12. Called best buy and the lady said I was a “good person” for doing so, and most people wouldn’t have done that. Sent them back. Never heard from them again.
I got to say of all the BS “Lore” reasons for real world game decisions that’s a pretty good one.
My God Jim Sterling is the worst.
Yes, 20 years after the original, using the same conceit as another game (yarn).
Perhaps, but that doesn’t mean that the developer had some BIG/BAD intention of making money off of this (as is implied). That voluntary donation system is just how the site that he used to distrubute the build works. It also very clearly stated that the donation was optional, so I wouldn’t call that confusion - just…
Yeah, but that person in last place is never helped by a blue shell.
Actually the person probably was probably in a blind rush to download the game that he/she thought the donation screen was a paywall. It was completely optional. You merely had to read, donate nothing, and get the work-in-progress build for free.
Never liked the Blue Shell. It just feels cheap with no upside. If I’m leading the whole race, someone in 8th shouldn’t just be able to affect (only) me from a whole lap away.
I feel like part of the frustration with Nintendo’s C&D take downs and “IP protection” is that Nintendo won’t actually use any of its IPs. What happened to Chrono Trigger, Kirby, Metroid (real Metroid), F-Zero, (New Original) Star Fox, Advanced Wars, Wario, Golden Sun, etc? I think people wouldn’t be as mad if…
Video game sex scenes also always look awkward as fuck no matter what. I feel as if Developers force them into games just to give them an edgy esrb rating at times because they literally add nothing of value to the games story.
I dont think I ve watched a single sex scene in any vid. Game. Its cringy and I simply dont care for it. I immediate skip the scene and try to get on with the game.. I dont see it and I dont get it. Quite frankly, Im fine with out it unless it happends to be some major part of the story.. Im most likely playing the…
