This, not least because on any given night, you'll hear a wide assortment of engines from guys going at unholy speeds on the wangan

Um, doesn't that mean for every 1ft it sinks, it moves 19.36ft forwards? So 35000ft of sink equates to 677600ft forward or 128 miles?
Audi was going to use this last year but the FIA and ACO banned it, good to see it back in another VAG car :)
Fair enough, I guess I can't argue with that either! I hope whatever it turns out to be is... more boring and regular? :)
Skoda's are afforable, reliable and practical. And because you can have this for £25000 with a Golf GTi engine
And the new one. Trying to persuade my dad that his midlife crisis luggage shifter should be this
Getting serious for a sec, 280,000 euros for this is laughable. The exterior finish is piss poor.
No chance that's Le Mans trim. We won't see the Le Mans trim till Le Mans. And we won't see the higher downforce trim till the season starts.
Well, no treaty is enforceable unless someone chooses to enforce it. If a police department chooses not to hand out speeding tickets, that doesn't mean they can't, it means they can't be arsed.
Another issue is that Russian signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, with the other cosigners being the US and the UK. I haven't read the specific wording of the treaty but it looks like this is going to drag the Americans and British into the mess
Not sure if you're up for doing another Suzuki but give the Swift Sport a try, it's awesome. Not that I'm impartial since I have one but hay ho....
I'm not so convinced that it's dead in the water, the problem is that most of the media coverage re:Mazda (no pun intended) stays within Japan.
Fair enough, but it should have been on there somewhere, like a honourable mention. It's too great to ignore :)
5 Japanese cars that shocked the auto industry in '89? Where the f*ck is this?
The funny thing is that Peter Baron from Starworks commented it costed him more to run his DP last season than the P2 car in WEC. Honestly, there really isn't an excuse, hopefully, it won't take some dying for them to embrace technology like years gone by...
Or his good mate...
That's a solid point and one that keeps coming up in engineering and motorsport circles. This is why DPs will never go to Le Mans in their current form, they would be laughed out of the building by the FIA
Almost turned off my TV after that, that was horrific. I'm really hoping that Memo isn't in too bad condition as some of the reports are starting to suggest... Best wishes to all involved and hope the make a full recovery.
Some other teams have tried various systems. Audi had one on the R18 during the first half of the WEC season given their track record overtaking GT cars....
Aye. Not one of Porsche's proudest moments to be honest. Anyway, bring on the 919!
