The Vixen isn’t always right sure, and she may burn out if she keeps at it like this but Ru really is claiming to try to help her without really being very compassionate. She can’t just spout psycho-babble at her then expect to fix her problems.

Rupaul: “Why can’t everyone be as strong as me, a multimillionaire Emmy winner? Surely this young 20-something queen who doesn’t have an army of personal assistants has the same sum of life experience I have. I totally should treat her simultaneously as a child and as a 60-year-old multimillionaire Emmy winner.”
She needs to win just on sheer force of character. Aquaria may serves better looks, but Asia has the soul that I need right now.
I mean she got slightly upset on tv where she was backed into a corner with no support system in a pressure-cooker of a contest. Thats not really a disaster either.
So when are we switching to Asia O’Hara’s Drag Race?
Asia - Kam - Aquaria, absolutely. Been a Kam stan from the start (her consistently joyous IG presence is quite aspirational for someone like me), but dear lord, Asia would without a doubt be the most worthy addition to the Reigning Queen pantheon since Sharon, and has thoroughly stolen my heart.
Asia was SO powerful in this episode. I think with how she did treat Ru that she’ll never win - because there can only be one mother queen and that’s Ru, even if she doesn’t love as warmly as a mother maybe should - but I appreciate her so much.

Asia won this hands down. The Vixen has been hard to like sometimes but Ru was so cringey with her, good on Asia for standing up to him. Continuing Tammy Brown's reunion legacy.
A) Vixen and Asia are almost undeniably two of the most interesting human beings to come across this show, hands-down. Coincidence? I think not.
Life goal: to be the person Asia O’Hara is.
Honey, I’ve been following the AV Club since the stone age, when Films That Time Forgot roamed the earth, and the only cancer around here is and has always been pissy, self-appointed arbiters of good taste like you.
Darling, you ain’t shit. You’re poison and you are toxic. Run along now, dear.
We get it, your straight
It seems to me that Louise’s interest is Japan/Japanese franchises. Kuchikopi (and her other stuffed animals) are all from Japan, the burobu cards are Japanese, she wanted to name the chinchilla from the pet sitting episode shinobu, hawk and chick are samurai films, her play date with Millie involved singing j-pop and…
What a contrast, watching the season finales of The Simpsons and Family Guy and then the two new episodes of Bob’s.
And note that what’s actually a potential problem in SV is not being Christian, as such, but being anti-gay, which they made an end run around by having the guy be gay himself. (It was Brendan Eich, then-CEO of Mozilla, and the issue even then was a) contributions to an anti-SSM campaign, and b) the idea of CEO as…
I thought the switch of the gay dating site founder being persecuted for being a Christian in the same way a gay person gets persecuted elsewhere was funny for the first couple of jokes. But after the episode kept pressing the issue I got a bit annoyed. No one in the tech industry is going destroy a major deal because…
I just watched it again and Monique’s performance gets both a Michelle_soundtrack_laugh.mp3 and a Ru_laughter_closeup.mov - so “forgettable” is some heavy B.S.
This episode really hurt me. Yesterday, September 8th, 2017, my family sold the lake house that my great-grandfather bought in the 50's. He died there, and we spent all of the summer of ‘10 rebuilding it from its neglected decrepitude. Closing the door on that place for the last time with the keys still in it hurt.
