Except, somehow, Hamilton has managed to be THE top F1 driver, be a strong and aggressive driver and not appear to be an asshole. Being an asshole is not a requirement for success. Not in F1, not anywhere. most places, it’s a great way to crater your career.
Thanks, I was reading this and thinking “no he did not beat his teammate.” Then it hit me there was a “race” this year. That race was the Mazepin of races.
Mazepin did indeed have his best “race” of the season in Belgium. Erik, do you remember the Belgium event?
Also: those are not the doors of a billionaire.
I once bought a VW camper and found a box of condoms under the driver’s seat. They were all present and accounted for, however.
Most vans are ‘proof of sex’ vans with the booster seats and crushed Goldfish crackers on the floor.

Not just any team, but a team of oil drillers…because it’s obviously easier to train oil drillers to be astronauts than to train astronauts to drill a hole.
No, you send two teams!
“...and simply couldn’t make the turn.”
I completely agree with what you’re saying. Yes we’ve seen Max take others to the edge before, but I’m not convinced Max ran him out that far on purpose. I think he was driving in his mirrors because Lewis was coming in fast, and simply missed his marker completely, going in even further than he meant to, which was…
The issue is the precedent this sets. If you’re defending on the inside and it’s going into the corner, the risks gets substantially higher if you’re allowing drivers to play dumb games like this. Now imagine Max on the outside, with his driving style, there’s no way he would back off in the same position as Hamilton…
I didn’t expect the FIA to admit that they were wrong....
Leclerc basically said this would inform how he and other drivers adapt their approach/style when defending on the inside. It'll be interesting what happens next...
No one expected the FIA to reverse itself. That would mean admitting they done fucked up and reversing themselves. Not gonna happen.
