Back with my old 3rd gen, I took that to the Apple Store several times when it stopped working and they gave me a new one. I didn't have Apple Care, just looked sad enough, I guess. This was years ago, but might be worth a shot.

A couple of weeks ago we had that perfect mix of rain and incredible heat that sent everything shooting up. My peppers and squash (the zukes and yellow) are flowering. Right? In St. Louis they tried to tell us at the beginning of the week that 97 degrees wasn't as bad in June as it is in August because it isn't as humid. They backtracked on that yesterday and issued heat warnings. It's so miserable.

My boss was sick last week, and I'm getting sick this week just in time for vacation next week. Can't wait to bring my kleenex and cough drops on a road trip.
