I still eat it. At the height of the freakout I switched from salads to bowls, but I'm back on salads to no ill effects.

I love The Burbs. I have to dig out my dvd player now. Such a ridiculous movie.

I am finally working through my messiness issues! For the first time maybe ever I am in a place where I feel like someone could just stop in and I wouldn't die of shame. So yay for that.

Sorry for you and Olive. You're doing this because you love her, and want her to have a good piggy life, and that's really lovely.

That sucks at work. Hope your neck lump is ok. I had one of those almost ten years ago. Something didn't close up fully before I was born and a cyst formed. It was ultimately all fine and benign, but really scary while they were figuring it out. My sympathies.

I have a neighbor a block over or so that has a giant "This House Supports Donald Trump" sign on his side door. I encourage my dog to pee on his yard. And if he poops, I do a half-assed job cleaning it up.

I've done a bunch of research (pinned a lot of articles) about growing garlic, but haven't tried it yet. How much room does it take up? When do you plant?

I follow him on Facebook and he always has really nice panels for whatever day it is or if someone passes away. His Prince tribute was really nice. He just seems like a nice guy who likes animals.

I like the Ira Glass answer, so for living people, that's who I'll go with. But in general, if it could be anyone, it would be Alan Rickman. In fact, today may be a weird work day, so I'll just start imagining him narrating it now.

I picked up some stuff for grilling on Monday and then as soon as I got home it started pouring. Hoping to get that done tonight. I have some veggie dogs and was going to do some baked potatoes on there and some other veggies.

I had eye doctor and dental appointments recently and my vision hasn't changed and I have no cavities. Both of these things cause me some anxiety from time to time, so I'm pretty happy to have a clean bill of health from each.

I have had the JP theme in my head for a month or so. I think my humming it is starting to get to my boss.

That's…unsettlingly good.

After the Fire by Jane Casey. It's the 6th(?) in a series I really enjoy. I had to go to a fancy new library to pick it up. I've been mostly reading ebooks lately so adjusting to a physical book is kind of odd. I have to take off my glasses and adjust the light — I don't like this getting old crap.

So sorry about your cat. I hope it comes home soon.

I asked for a rain barrel for my birthday. Very excited to get that in.

It's pretty decent so far. They keep telling me it's going to rain here and it hasn't since Sunday. My garden could use it though. I could always water, but that really defeats my whole "gardening by neglect" vibe I have going on. I mis-allocated my pots and don't have enough to pot my mint. I will probably transplant

What's your go-to veggie burger recipe? I have one that I really enjoy but it is super grain-heavy which I don't always want. I liked the beet-centric one they used to have at Cheesecake Factory but I've never tried to recreate it.

The St. Louis Symphony's annual big fundraiser is this huge flea market. I am super excited to go look at crap. I got some great vintage table linens last year and a mid-sized pyrex bowl in my favorite pattern.

Ah, Friday the 3rd, Friday the 13th's non-creepy cousin. Good luck!!!!
