I’m super late to the game, but I just came here to say thanks for your always insightful and enjoyable articles! This is likely to be the last-ever Gilmore Girls recap series (unless, somehow, we get another miniseries somewhere down the line), and I’m not sure what I’ll do with my GG obsession now. Is this what

I’m sad that this recap series will come to an end - marking, probably, the last time GG will be discussed at length! - but I just can’t rouse the energy for this season. I was rewatching along with you, even, and just.... stopped. Really appreciate you sharing your frustrations.

I don’t comment much, but I’m going to be so bummed when these reviews end.

And this is it, the point at which it becomes very hard to keep rewatching. :/

It was the beginning of the panic over digital - but let’s not forget that she got on a bus to follow the Obama campaign (!) for an online magazine. She could have just as readily found a niche in online journalism! She should have known how to handle an interview at a content farm! Sigh.

E.T.A. - ask around for support services. I don’t know where you are planning on studying, but ask at your school or find local expat message boards (in Germany, we have Toytown) and ask about counseling in English; in big cities you’ll be able to find English-speaking counselors with experience helping expats

I studied abroad! I ended up staying abroad! (8+ years now!) I also have crippling anxiety!

Maybe it has to do with many of us having watched the show for the first time as teenagers? I used to be really invested in Rory’s romantic plotlines, but rewatching now I could skip most of those scenes (though I’ll forever be #teamjess).

I never got Luke and Lorelai either. I rooted for them, because there was a lot of chemistry there, and I think one of my all time favourite scenes is the karaoke scene after they break up - I think that’s probably the best scene in season 7, anyhow - but you can only take the grumpy misanthrope/chirpy wit

Get an alarm clock!

Toooootally agree. I’m probably in the minority of GG fans, but I kind of can’t stand when ASP delves too far into whimsy... I spend most scenes with Miss Celine cringing and waiting for it to be over. Drella should have followed them to the Dragonfly.
