Murder rage was of course the first reaction, but now I'm just incredibly sad. I want to simply walk into this little boy's hospital room and hand him a new game, a chocolate bar, and a teddy bear.

As much as it is horrifying to see a picture of the child (whose identity is not revealed); it brings home that this is what child abuse looks like. I can't with these stories anymore. Child abuse is horrific and barbaric. I hope child endangerment like this carries a life sentence, but I'm not hopeful. I hope this boy finds a good home.

There are not enough horrible things that can happen to these two people.

KHOU caught up with the boy's stepmother, picking up her kids (she has five in total and is currently pregnant) from school. She told their news crew the story was not true.

A few things.
1. Former counselor and detention officer? Two jobs that command respect and related to law enforcement? Wut.
2. "The girl appeared to have been the most abused..." Why am I not surprised?

Yeah. My first thought was how awful it was for those kids and what monsters these women were. My second thought was about the effect this would have on future adoptions in California.

thanks for making every adoption agency and rightwing jerkoff think every same-sex couple who wants to adopt will do this, ladies! thanks a FUCKING LOT.

I have no idea. Especially considering how hard it is to adopt when one is a member of the LGBT community. I imagine that their former professions helped them somewhat?

How do people like this get to adopt? I don't think that anything can cleanse my mind of this and I didn't even have to live this horror.
