Or her husband...
Lori Petty, she was freaking great in Tank Girl and League Of Their Own. This woman needs characters written for her.
Actually, it was not a saying, it was a phrase, famously uttered by a Soviet participant of a talk show by Phil Donahue. In the end of the 80-s, when the Iron Curtain was slowly lifting, a bridge format of talk shows was all the rage, where a few groups of people would be participating, from different locations. One…
Redshirts took over the Enterprise!
Dark Matter is very slow in plot development and is almost completely joyless. It is not a good sign if your only characters enjoying life are androids (including the killer one) and macho walking stereotype Number Three. Somehow, probably because of the show runner’s cred with Stargate shows Dark Matter is considered…
And his face is familiar because he also was on Continuum. )
Actually, I think Killjoys has more potential, just judging by the writing for the duration of one season. But I like them both and hope they both get a renewal.
It just seems that the show has not grown on you, although you do have a point, that they tend to go for stereotypes much more often than for interesting complexity. There is a number of interesting developments here, however. It is very cool that Three has feelings for Two, I hope it does not go away with the…
I think Bones have been dead for a couple of years already. Storylines get more and more ridiculous and outlandish. Also, the main character of Temperance Brennan started out as an intellectual with some weird antisocial antics. In the later seasons they try to keep it up, but it goes completely contrary to character…
They don’t seem too similar to me, besides both being space operas. It is normal for characters to have secrets in shows of practically any genre. The way I see it, Killjoys is a bit Firefly-ish, quippy and fast pacing, while Dark Matter is Stargate-Universe-ish. Very slow, albeit not devoid of some suspense.
It is sadly only in civilized countries people are reacting this way, treating Hunt’s comments as inappropriate and ridiculous. In some deeply sexist places (Russia, for example), people can not comprehend why a Nobel Prize winner was harassed by vicious and stupid feminists to the point of resigning. I tried to…
Such a pity that they can not be punished for neglect. It is scandalous, that these sanctimonious hypocrites are getting money for interviews instead of being stripped of custody. Their daughters were molested under their noses and they covered up for the molestor, for crying out loud! How is that not a crime? At…
The Afterlife seems to have a potential. It can be a show about Inhumans and those who wanted to become Inhumans, but could not. Daisy's mom can be a part of it, as well as Gordon.
I want John Hart to weigh on that too.
Black Widow is Russian, she can't be Natasha's grandmother.
Not that much different from New York,
And it is utterly heartbreaking, just how hard and dehumanizing are conditions for women in some places.
Though it might have felt as a downer for new viewers, I think they have successfully upped the stakes and made it more interesting. It was a tad too comfortable with a cool secret base, another Koenig and lots of gadgets to play with. I can feel Whedon pulling the strings from behind. Really high stakes, check. A bad…
Why we are not getting any more Defiance reviews?
That and making name and address of a foie gras serving chef public, resulting in broken windows and death threats to his family. PETA use terrorist techniques, they put down animals instead of finding them shelter and their PR budget far exceeds whatever they spend on actual help to animals. PETA are not animal…
