I think so too, and it may be why Drive has been the only Refn film I’ve liked. Only God Forgives was an irritating slog, and Neon Demon looked pretty but had nothing else going for it.

It can’t be worse than the entirely card based battle system.
It’s different enough that it looks like it could be a lot of fun, to me. I’m especially intrigued how battles look mid to end game.
