It was the difficulty spikes that got me to bounce off of Control. Maybe one day I’ll go back. But not right now.

That last item is priceless. Kudos.
This was the early aughts, so, maybe it was regional?
I wanted to like Control, but the difficulty spikes were too much for me to deal with. Maybe one day I’ll go back to it, but what I played of it was good. But this year was the year of the Switch for me. Between Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, Dragon Quest XIS, and Link’s Awakening, that tiny machine was the…
I’ve been toying with picking up Death Stranding, but given that I didn’t care for Phantom Pain, I feel like this game will do nothing for me. I’ve got to ask, what ultimately tipped you in the direction of ultimately putting it on your list?
Unless that was patched in later, as far as I know, Control doesn’t have a difficulty setting option.
Wait. What?

Am I the only one that loathes autoplay? I mean, if I’m interested, I can click the “Play Trailer” button. It’s not that difficult. Also, the autoplay lags my scrolling through the menu regardless. So, stop it, Netflix. It’s one of the main reasons I go to Netflix last if I want to watch a movie now.
Is it just me, or was this quietly a great year for the Switch in general? I mean, I put in close to two hundred hours into Three Houses alone, and that’s before Astral Chain, Dragon Quest XIS, and Link’s Awakening.
An amazing year for Switch games overall. After 2018's lackluster offerings, it’s like all the Switch games got released this year.
I just hope the undead/zombie people are explained eventually. Because they show up for Part 1 and then just disappear altogether in both Black Eagles and Blue Lions.
Third route in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Finished Black Eagles and Blue Lions, started Golden Deer earlier this week. This truly is the game that keeps on giving.
Why you gotta remind me about Harsh Realm? What’s next? Twisting the knife with follow ups to Millennium, The Lone Gunmen and Space: Above and Beyond? Stop torturing me!
So, nothing out until March then? Gives me time to work on that back catalog.
If you dig Monster, this feels like it’s going to take the viewer on a similar journey. There are seven episodes in the can with the eighth coming out December 30, so you have time to catch up. But given where episode seven leaves the protagonist, I honestly don’t know how the show moves on from there. I’d say I…
Well, it looks like your post is timely (at least for me). Started watching Babylon on Amazon Prime, and it’s definitely scratching that Monster itch.
I feel like the right answer is Nier: Automata. That soundtrack went places. And while the game itself is somewhat janky, I respect the hell out of it for aiming way out of its reach and pretty much nailing the landing.
Still looking for a collected edition to this. I was streaming it on Netflix way back when it got pulled, and I haven’t been able to watch it ever since. It looks like any collections are out of print and absurdly expensive. So, the wait continues.
By far, the best “fight” in Naruto Shippuden. Nothing touches this until that Boruto fight.
