For water-based paint, liquid fabric softener works amazing. Also, the quicker you clean the better. To extend this time, wrap your brushes/rollers in a plastic grocery bag until you are ready to clean.

I sometimes forget what a pain it is to clean the waffle iron. I realize too late after putting some non-waffle item in then having to wipe every crevice. Maybe a Foreman grill is easier.
