And they won’t even deign to come into the comments to engage the readership and commenters. At most we might get some snarky comments on twitter about how no one understand them, but real dialogue is impossible with them. Remember, it was jez writers that effectively shut down the series they were going to have with

It’s not just you. I count at least three writers who have consistently bad takes on this, including the “who cares about voting?” snark. As another commenter said, I don’t know if it’s because Vermont Jesus isn’t going to get the nom, so they’ve decided to just give up and crap all over everything, or if it’s tone

This. Just because *I* don’t need Ashton Kutcher to tearfully explain why it’s important to say Black Lives Matter instead of All Lives Matter, doesn’t mean that he’s preaching to a choir and simply virtue signaling. He might have followers who genuinely need to hear that. It might also be virtue signaling, but

I only hate read Jezebel now. If they fuck up the layout like they did at Gizmodo, I’m done.

Now playing

The fact that they’ve *more than once* mocked celebrities who are encouraging people to register and vote

I am really struggling with what is going on with these Jezebel writers lately. They are just shitting on people for ridiculous reasons, blatantly missing the point, and from the comments it’s more than obvious that they are entirely out of touch with their audience. The fact that they’ve *more than once* mocked

So off target...

Me, reading Jezebel’s latest hot take:

Pompeo has said some tone deaf things in the past in regards to race.

Either the author isn’t fluent in Sarcasm, or they have some kind of other issue with Pompeo.

..... Ellen, I really hope that’s a rhetorical question because the answer is extremely obvious.

I feel like it was pretty clear that Ellen’s question was rhetorical...

Hi, Lauren. Respectfully, I disagree. While he could have spoken out to condemn Trump (which would have been excellent) that was still a very good answer. Part of being anti-racist is to come to terms with one’s own implicit and internalized biases rather than deflect it onto another.

I honestly think there were no “heroes” from that show, but why Carole Baskin has been villainized more than the men who not only abused animals, but people as well, is beyond me. It’s actually infuriating.

Most notably it’s not Schaudenfraude because the judgement was legally sound and the property transfer was 100% transparently fraudulent and this ruling is neither shocking nor some great injustice.  I hope they find a better solution for the cats, and whatever Baskin’s failings are I think it’s fair to say regardless

Yup voting even in the small elections matters. Back when I worked in retail there have been multiple times I wore my “I voted sticker” to work after the small elections and people would ask me what election was going on.

Seriously. Big Cat Rescue is awesome. It almost makes me want to go back to Tampa to visit again. (But...then I remember it’s still Tampa...)

You mean like Big Cat Rescue?

People need to stop with this shit. She was put through enough by those misogynistic losers. Must it continue on this site? I’m fairly certain that the authorities took the disappearance of a wealthy white man seriously enough to have done a thorough investigation.
She’s already lived with death threats and dealt with

What is this “both sides” bullshit?
