IT'S PIKACHU

Old Mario and Zelda games were not "smooth sailing," I assure you. They weren't on Dark Souls level of difficulty... but if you haven't been playing them your whole life they're pretty friggin' tough! Case in point again: my housemates (who are very effective representations of your average game-playing person). They

Sorry, I didn't mean to call the critics pathetic. I know they have to, but I meant it's pathetic that it's necessary, that the general gaming public won't buy hard games without being coaxed into it.

I agree. It's almost pathetic how critics have to cautiously explain why a hard game should be persevered through, and that you have to pay attention and learn how to be better. But it's necessary, unfortunately, because the majority of people simply don't understand the concept of actually putting effort into a

Dallas, man.

Remember, just because we can all tell from the pixels (and having seen quite a few misappropriated videogame clips in our time), doesn't mean everyone can! :P

Um, I'd say if a serious game designer plays Super Mario Bros and DOESN'T find it highly inspirational and enlightening, he's doing it wrong?

woohoo! sure, it was gonna come out today... but i didn't believe that would happen anyway. soon, though! woooo!

obviously you've never been to pittsburgh :P

Big HDTV and surround sound? Able to sit in bean bag chair?

booooooooooooooo. I mean, I'll still buy it, but I'd definitely get it on 360 if I could :(

I tried that for 5 minutes once. Like everyone else, I have very fond memories of playing Oregon trail as a child. But good GOD, the awful Zynga-style artwork made me want to throw up and I just couldn't play it.

tim, i know your fans always whine about you not writing often enough, but you've gone too far! This is the fourth one this week and we have things to do!

Y'know, even though that passage of the book is REALLY clever and had me in stitches when I first read it, I must admit it kinda bugs me with its misinformed theology. "Without faith, I am nothing" is used against God to defeat him in a puff of logic, but nowhere in the Bible (and I say Bible because DA's religious

I'm now 20% sadder :(

It's more likely than you think.

I don't think we really need to know how tim feels about Gears 3. I haven't played it yet (which sucks), but I'm sure it's on the same level of awesome as Gears 1 and 2. Either slightly more awesome or slightly less awesome, but still awesome, and for most of the same reasons.
