Soooo if I someone were to create a public wifi network named %secretclub%power, anyone using an iPhone in the vicinity of my that someone’s home whose device picks up the existence of said network is fubar’d? Asking for a friend. (Also, is it Evil Week on Lifehacker already?)

How can you know about starlink, figure out how to buy it, get all hyped and shit and think “uh, ill put it on my car” and NOT KNOW that it only works on the address you give to them?

Dude couldn't figure out a roof mount? Come on.

At least the hurricane is not on fire. Yet

Proper security costs money, and does not produce visible results on a balance sheet. So even if it gets implemented, sooner or later someone says “Why are we paying so much for security? We haven’t had a malware attack in years! Lets cut this useless expense.”

This is all on the bean counters and management being to cheap to pay for security, as in an IT person who knows what the fuck they are doing. Who are not cheap to hire.

Imagine the irony if it were named Karen.

I’ve been on Jalopnik for its complete 15 year existence and this is in the running for the dumbest post I’ve ever seen on here.

They are selfish assholes who think that “my freedumbs” allows them to do anything without regard for others. When faced with the consequences of their actions they try to dismiss or downplay the harm they cause.

Because “hey come to this government sanctioned place to light small explosives” would be a complete liability nightmare I imagine.

Hey, starting a wildfire that displaces thousands of people and causes millions of dollars in property damage is a personal choice! That’s exactly the sort of freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. Where in the constitution? Hell if I know. Do you think I read the thing? It’s like 15 pages long!

Typically only if a) there are sales tax issues or b) there are liquor issues.

They work great until you go to turn, discovering too late that you can, in fact, not.

It could very well mean that one day the rite of passage of learning to ride a bike as a kid could be no more, which would also make biking more accessible to riders of any skill level.
