Sometimes you don’t want your garlic to look like it’s been crushed, and whole cloves are much easier to slice than squished ones. But yeah, if you’re just gonna mince it, the squishing method works pretty well, other than usually getting fragments of garlic skin on your knife.
The silicone sleeve works just as well as taking your hands and rolling the garlic between them, but garlic tends to poke your palms and make them sticky, so the sleeve definitely makes peeling cloves more pleasant.
Industrial kitchens steam the skins off. It makes the garlic taste funky. The pre minced stuff is disgusting, they add citric acid to it so that it wont turn brown, in addition to steam peeling it, so the flavor is so far off of fresh garlic that there’s really no point in using it over freeze dried.
Pre-peeled garlic tastes terrible most of the time and it comes from china. The pre chopped stuff is even worse... Better to eat locally grown garlic. Peeling it really isn’t hard, as long as it hasn’t dried out you can simply roll a clove between your hands to peel it, or use one of those silicone garlic tubes if…
if they want to put up a paywall, then they shouldnt advertise their site on news aggragators that hit you with a paywall when you click through. There is always a way around paywalls, just have to find the right script to prevent from executing. sometimes that means you lose other content, like css styling, if the…
Some of us live within our means and saved and bought a house that didn’t cost more than we could afford. Is it a great house in a great neighborhood? Not really. Do I own it completely? (No mortgage) Yes. Is that worth it? Fuck Yes.
You need enough to buy it outright, pay the fees, and fix any problems with it. otherwise, you’re not buying a house, you’re in an elaborate rent to own agreement with your mortgage company.
Oxygen is the enemy of coffee beans once they have been roasted, but unless this thing pulls a vacuum, it’s not really helping much unless your beans were roasted in the last week and are still offgassing CO2. And if that’s the case, you had better hope this has a one way valve on top to allow that CO2 to push out…

Blendtec is garbage. Unless you like seeing motor protection “overload” errors constantly while making smoothies, get a vitamix.

With some of these food delivery app companies, they don’t ask the business in advance. they just list the business on their app, and then call the customer’s order in to the business. it seems real sketchy....
3 inch pipes? Most in wall pipes are 1-1/2 to 2 inches, unless you’re running directly into the 4-6 inch stack. As for enough pressure to burst a pipe, just wait until you find a place where some dumbass used a slip fitting inside a wall. (The things you find when you own an old house)
Until you manage to damage a pipe inside a wall with the pressure. Then not only do you get to call a plumber, you also get to patch a hole in the drywall.
Horseradish is really only “spicy” in your sinuses, from the sulphur compound Allyl isothiocyanate. It activates TRPA1 pain sensors in your sinuses.
Once you hit 18 and graduate from high school, you should only be able to spend 2-3 months of your life “having fun” if you have saved up the money to pay for that yourself.
Solution: take some mini N52 magnets and stick them to your card before handing it over. They permanently fuck up the reader. Sure it’ll also destroy your magstripe (and the stripe of any other card swiped) , but who uses that thing anyway?
Stop brainwashing your kids and let them discover their own likes and dislikes.
even in the us, those “unlimited” plans actually just throttle the hell out of you once you go over their cap...
The Homestead Exemption is pretty standard, assuming you live in the property and you don’t rent it out.
