The op is incorrect in this case, there is no keylogging data being transmitted by this vulnerability. Someone could build something that would transmit the contents of this text file over the internet, but the default settings of the driver only save your keystrokes to a text file when the debug mode is turned on.

It’s not a networked application by default, it just is bad troubleshooting code left in the touchpad’s driver. it saves everything you type on the keyboard as a text file if the debug feature is turned on.
Except that this keylogger is integrated into the touchpad driver, so while they’ve likely imaged the laptop, they also probably left the touchpad driver intact.
