I think X and X-2 were the best of the FF games once everything moved past PSX graphics. Even the newer games just don't have that certain something.

You didn't read Birds of Prey before the New52, did you? Harley was a badass in that run. The end of the run even more so as she hunted the Joker to kill him. (They bitched out at the end, which sucked.) She was proven to be more than capable of everything you said she wasn't.
