My friend is a former ADA. She said women were much worse jurors for rape trials than men in her area. Something about women reflexively judging the victim and picking out all the things the victim did wrong to make themselves feel like a rape could never happen to them.

the heat index the past few weeks in Dallas has been over 100, often around 110

This so ridiculous. I’m a teacher in North Texas, and we’ve had to to cancel school because our campus heating system was not working in the winter. That they wouldn’t do the same with a broken A/C is so much worse and probably more dangerous.

“I think this is dangerous territory in the middle of the Democratic primary process. The candidates might pass out from the heat or drown in a flash flood.

Harris, Biden, and Buttigeig all have exactly zero plans or ideas for Climate Change that doesn’t involve more than lip service. Biden just wants to attach us to a bunch of resolutions again, without passing any legislature. Harris, until recently, wasn’t even that interested in discussing it as a political strategy. h

‘What do you expect us to do, the obviously good thing people support!?’

Sorry young folks coming up into Climate World. You are going to get caught holding the bag.

Dems also don’t want to talk about gun control, because they need them to shoot their feet with.

He’s like the guy that got away. By the time you realized that he was the right one for you, he had drifted away already. He globally warmed my heart. Fare thee well, Jay Inslee.

noooo dont correct her spelling your so sexy ahah

You’re*

Texas doesn’t like to worry itself with pesky details like science. One of the many reasons I don’t live there.

I like to think of candidates like Inslee jumping into a race like this to forward his ideas and have the eventual primary winner adopt them outright or take portions and either improve on them or add them to their own plans.

Abolish the death penalty.

“Better 100 innocent people be executed than one guilty man be spared!”

Stories like this are why, as much as I don’t feel bad about actual murderers dying, I could never support the Death Penalty. The chance of *one* innocent person being executed by the State should be too much for a moral society to bear.

Double that when you realize the real culprit is possibly still free.

Well, it’s bound to deter a lot of other innocent murderers.

“Better kill him quick before the truth comes out.”
