Who knew that propping up and subsidizing the same industry that caused the problem was a horrible compromise. The industry was rewarded and the people who had the least ability to choose between healthcare and other necessities were fined.

Domestically, Sanders and Warren are examples of more or less parallel evolution — while both currently espouse a European-style social democratic welfare state, they’ve come to that point from very different starting locations.
