You miss my point entirely. I am not saying that legal hunters do not have an investment in and a commitment to conservation. My point is that people who are vegans and/or hippies can and do also have an investment in and commitment to conservation.

I do not think you can prove this is true. I think it’s possible that some of the vegan population might also have a demonstrably legitimate investment in and commitment to conservation.
