I’ll second this - so many cocktail recipes call for, like, 1/4oz of 3+different obscure liqueurs that are only available as a >$30 bottle that you’ll rarely use. I get psyched when I see these posts because I know it’s going to be something I can actually try on a whim without breaking the bank.

Has there been any explanation of why they’re doing that? I feel like it’s really self-defeating to build up the Anker brand as something that stands apart from other forgettable “brands” that are just pushing white-label chinese junk, and then just when they get some name recognition, pivot to putting their new stuff

This is a great article, but Im surprised to see the use of the word fucktard- Id expect better from the writers for this site than a juvenile insult derived from using retardas a pejorative. Just something to think about.

Did you really link random keywords to five other Lifehacker articles for SEO, but not put a link to the official announcement anywhere in this article? Seems like most people might want to hop over to the primary source...

Any reviews on their refurbished models? They’ve also got refurbs of those two for $75 / $100 respectively, which is pretty compelling.

Is this dead? I don’t see it even at its normal price - it’s 295.95 from the cheapest available seller. EDIT: Nevermind, saw the note in the article.

Which is to say, protip: always buy kitchen/bar stuff from restaurant supply stores. It’s made to be used non-stop, and priced dirt cheap.

Where are you shopping that a wooden muddler is more expensive than $6? At the restaurant supply shop local to me, you can get one for $0.92 - I’d bet prices are similar elsewhere. http://www.shopatdean.com/collections/mi…

Or, you know, get a phone that isn't an iPhone and enjoy your phone manufacturer not thinking they know better than you what you want? /troll

No, probably not. Those aren't standard PC hardware so there wouldn't likely be any sort of software support for hooking them up to the Pi.

Weird that this was posted today, I just did this exact thing yesterday afternoon. I don't even have a balance on the card currently, I was just pissed that my APR was unreasonably high. One big piece of advice that isn't mentioned here is that if the rep you first speak to claims that there's nothing that can be done

Yeah, that was my thought too. It sounds like this would basically be recording the average of all your fingertips, rather than an accurate picture of one of them. Real good way to have it not be that secure.

Sec0nded. That's a really, really weak winning entry. I'm surprised it even made the list.

I half agree but I also feel like it's partly timing — they're the only ones who've released really strong phones on multiple carriers recently. Not that long ago the Motorola Razr MAXX was blowing up, and it was (in the US at least) only on Verizon. If any other manufacturer bothered to put out a flagship android

Meh, there's much better examples of this type of video. The George W. Bush Sunday Bloody Sunday is a masterpiece.

I feel like a really terrible person for having the same thought. Kinda poor timing.

This ought to read "Starting January 28th, Foursquare would be going to start publishing your full name when you check in, if anyone out there still used Foursquare".

Honestly, this is a slightly more insightful observation than I ever would have expected a) on the subject of Emoji, and b) from Miley Cyrus.

Seriously. Have a little dignity.

Eh, I'd say that it's more plausable to say "hey, clearly I didn't actually have every single order I've placed in the past few months show up DOA" then it would be to try to dispute, say, just one false charge.
