Boba tea has been readily available in San Diego for over 15 years. This seems like the continuation of a trend of articles and blog posts I’ve noticed over the past 5-10 years or so in the vein of “I just discovered something so it must be new to everyone”.

Great info! I didn’t know only 6 credits max will roll over. Thankfully, I just hit the 6th credit on my account, so I ‘bought’ a few audio books today.

I have a Dyson, but when I don’t feel like unwinding and winding the cord, which is most of the time, I use a Hoover Linx cordless stick vac. Suction is quite good, and batteries charge fairly quickly. Battery life is OK, you can squeeze a few extra minutes out of it (and reduce wear & tear on your rugs) by not

This sounds delicious. I have some type of lime tree in my back yard, I may try this with those limes and see if it’s any good.

I’ve adopted a similar strategy of never buying things when I first see them, with the expectation that, if I really need or want the item, I’ll go back and get it another time. This has cut down not only on my impulse purchasing, but my purchasing of things I already have but forgot I’d already bought previously.

Looks like that air purifier is from Fellowes, whose air purifiers used to be made by Winix, though I’m not certain they are anymore. The Winix air purifiers are consistently well rated and good values, I’ve got one and it has helped enormously with my allergies. I paid almost this much for a used on off eBay, and

I second this mouse for its ability to track accurately on practically every surface.

So, how many seats should the dining room have?

I’ve actually found several times that I was able to remove stripped screws using a star bit (not sure that’s what they’re called) or a square bit. A lot of driver bit sets come with a bunch of these, and I’ve probably used the star bits more for removing stripped screws than anything else.

I vote for this as well -I’ve had mine even longer, over 5 years, and it looks brand new.

I’m allergic to the deodorant with aluminum, which severely limits my selection. I’ve tried all the ‘natural’/non-aluminum deodorants I can find, and this one is the best by far - its the only one that didn’t break down at some point during the day. It’s not an antiperspirant, but I did perspire less with this than

If the kid has a fine enough ribbing or rough surface, that could be used for striking the matches instead of sand paper - that’s how old math boxes/vestas were designed. If you’re up for it, you could even use a file to roughen up a part of the lid for striking the matches, just make sure not to go through the lid.

Milwaukee has one, shown in the main picture on the right side, that is shaped more like a bucket than a traditional toolbox. I’ve got it, and it’s actually pretty nice, some neat features like multiple removable dividers, a small top tray, and little hooks on the lid to hang it on the side when you’ve got the box

Ever since I started filtering the water before I put it in the humidifier, I’ve not only never seen it get dirty (though I do clean it a little anyway every month or so), I’ve also just about eliminated the chalky white dust I was getting on everything from our local hard water. That dust will vary by location, but

I’ve used those before, they do seem to work well, at least for a while.

Ebay is actually a pretty good place for tools in general - a lot of people buy tools, use them a few times, then don’t need them anymore and sell them. Just make sure to check prices against stores like Amazon and remember to take into account shipping.

Thanks for the article, I think saving money is one of the best life hacks available. I'd second an earlier post suggesting a review of online rebate/cashback sites, like ebates, Retail Me Not, and FatWallet. I'm wondering if any of these have an app as well.

Those stickers do have a purpose, but this isn't it - at least in California, it's to indicate the pump has been inspected to be pumping out the correct amount of gas and charging accordingly - so you know when it says you got 5 gallons, you really did get 5 gallons, and only got charged for 5 gallons. So you should

I've always used way too much paint thinner and often not gotten a terribly well cleaned brush out of it, this is a great tip. I did recently get something called Paint Erase Brush Cleaner from Home Depot (that's where I bought it, it's not their brand), and that actually did wonders - small amount, didn't smell bad

There are definitely cases where you just won't be able to have a one size fits all hammer - some more delicate jobs will need a smaller hammer, or a rubber mallet or other non-marking surface, or a flatter striking surface. But for your standard usage, I'd say get about the heaviest hammer you could comfortably use
