LGBTQ advocacy? low income housing? family law? so many ways to get involved. awesome that you are ready to take that first step.

I had a similar experience yesterday. I volunteered to drive folks to the polls; one of my “fares” was a guy my age - smart, educated, well spoken, grew up in a town 30 miles from me back in New England (I’m now in a blue dot in the reddest state around), and ravaged by muscular dystrophy. His power had been shut off

oh come on. i keep this saying taped in my office at work to remind me to not agree to shit i don’t want to, need to, or have the time to do in a professional (and social) capacity. not everything is about rape, put the pitchforks down.
