Bad news mister! it was already done successfully in 1974 for the James Bond film "The Man With The Golden Gun" better luck next time!

If that's not "Dukes of Hazzard" style than nothing is!

I don't get it, apart from the wow factor of a v10 it makes no more power than an ordinary v8 crate engine. With that much nose and no ass it's just gonna end up pointing the wrong way when he hits the gas anyway.

Oh C'mon, nooobody thought of this one?

I had an 82 Oldsmobile wagon once which was equipped with a 231 cubic inch v6. It rattled like a bag of chains even on the good gas. Stepping on the throttle meant you would HEAR the sounds of a car accelerating - but did not feel the effects. The low oil pressure light (idiot light) flickered gently at idle until

@ppiddy: I think what your talking about is educated risk, and it's something most of this video-gaming, internet clicking generation has lost touch with. Learning by doing, and experiencing real cause and effect did more for me than any book or lecture. Yes we should all look out for our children by governing their

@Ottobon: Gotcha, yea alot of those F/F, M/R drive cars were not well balanced once you start slinging them through turns.

@stock87: 1993 was also a good year for Toyota with some of their offerings, especially the awd Celica. I selected the mid 80's mostly because of the booming reputation at the time, that and 1987 was the last year Toyota sold a 4 cylinder econo/sport with rwd. No more cheap fun unless you bought used.

What's this one worth than? Gotta be $4-$5000 with the 4matic option at least.

@Ottobon: Well i don't know about that - I never bothered to check because I was driving a 1986 Corolla GTS at the time. Solid rear axle you see. But Interesting trivia nonetheless, thank you. @JT_3K:

@Elhigh: I don't know what your experience with 80's cars were, but I clearly remember an evolution in the way people thought about them. By that time Toyota had refined reliability by packaging it in simple, durable and economical cars. This was something that American automakers never took seriously and they paid a

Just replaced my muffler bearings, topped off the halogen fluid levels and retrofitted a quart of compression. The cars running just fine now.

Toyota - for 1986.

Less Yugo is not more, Crack Pipe!

@G-Ram: REALLY? but it's so bland.

Ace Ventura Say!

@JalopJeff: My 05 Forester couldn't get out of its own way (automatic) and got worse mileage than my '10 Highlander.

Pshaww - enough of this lightweight stuff already. There are plenty of examples of these Corollas out there with far superior engines IE: the Lexus 1uz-fe, 4-liter V8 that provide real thrill, solid reliability at "built in a barn" pricing. Why futz around with a Wanker rotary when you can have the real thing?

My parents told me that I made engine noises before I could speak. Does that qualify?
