Want to quote any of these “many” people who object to the pronoun “he”? As someone who speaks four languages and interacts with well educated multi-lingual people all the time, you get used to the fact that people are speaking in their second or third language, and make these kinds of “errors” all the time.  Franz

From what I remember the 1990s 318ti hatchback didn’t have the same rear suspension as the sedan, so it was not really a hatchback 318, but a lesser car. With no manual option and no RWD, I’ll file this newest Bimmer under who cares....

The real criticism of Bottas is that he isn’t fast enough to challenge Hamilton, and that with a dominant car, races are boring. The Ferrari situation from 2000-2004 was not much different. He’s a perfectly capable F1 driver, but for the sake of the show somebody a little faster should be in that second Merc.

It is my belief that the video is delayed to allow the commentary to seem more real-time (try commentating yourself, you are always behind the action on screen).  Maybe the delay was set wrong or they had to switch to an alternate video feed due to some failure.

There were signs showing pit lane was closed, he didn’t see them.  I’m not saying it wasn’t confusing (team says come in, but pit lane is closed), but it was a learning moment for a great driver - check the pit lane signs!

Agree to disagree - maybe cars are appliances, but some are utilitarian, and some are *not*. Just like some kitchen appliances have design elements that bring pleasure to the viewer/operator, even if it’s still an appliance - unlike the typical “college student rental” appliances which are strictly utilitarian and

Piola is a legend!

Everybody has a daddy, it’s just some are sugar daddies and some are actual daddies. How do you think Kmag has been in F1 so long?

I agree it would be great to see Perez on the grid next year - I’m tired of the Haas lineup and also agree a Mexican driver is a good thing for F1. But I disagree with “Haas doesn’t need a driver to be the kind of hero that’s willing to take another driver—and himself—out of contention.” See Perez vs Ocon at Eau

Came here to post this - if you can’t report on the race properly maybe just write “crazy race, Hamilton didn’t win, commenters share your thoughts!”

Nope not true - we did it because we don’t like drunk drivers (and also sex offenders, drug users, etc) entering our country. You’d be surprised how many countries around the world don’t like those kind of people.... By the way, have you ever seen the entry requirements to the US for Europeans? America doesn’t like

Oh the memories of my 1993 MX-6, climbing in through trunk.....

Sadly, Williams was already sinking otherwise they wouldn’t be up for sale - I’m sorry to see Frank go but this business requires more money than he has.

Selling the roadmap, my favourite salesperson tactic!

I’m starting to like the idea of KITT personified in different vehicles....my dream would be an exotic, but probably for marketing purposes it has to be a mass manufacturer - I didn’t like the Mustang incarnation, but Acura with the NSX as primary KITT wouldn’t be terrible, would it?

Agreed - Valtteri is of course a great driver and even seems like a pretty nice guy, but like many, is second best to Lewis, and probably not in the top three on the grid. He will have a nice career in F1 like Barrichello but will never be champ in the same car as Lewis. Prediction - Finishes career at Aston Martin

I’m sure our Canadian bureaucrats have gone overboard with mask in car, but if it keeps a few people out because it’s annoying, then I guess they didn’t really need to come to Canada.  Because PANDEMIC!

I’m a lifelong Ferrari fan, not British, and don’t cheer for Hamilton.  GOAT - who knows - best of his generation - top 3 for sure.  But he is accomplishing what Michael Schumacher did - changing the history book of F1, and he will be remembered for a long time after he’s left F1 - isn’t that the measure of impact

So what was messy about it? Sounds like it was a great race....

This. Most fun vehicles spend most of their life doing the same thing the boring ones do - daily driving. But I’d rather daily drive my fun vehivle 100% of the time versus have a boring one.
