Actually, it's worse than that. If one of Nathan Rabin's 'THIS… Is What We Call Music' is correct (can't remember which one, it's in there), apparently Timberlake and Prince were at an Entertainment Tonight party and apparently when Prince saw JT across the room, he shouted "Sexy never left!" That's why Timberlake

Damn straight it is. And not just in the sound either - the lyrics and thematic elements have a ton of nuance that really blindsided me in a great way. Definitely a highlight of the year thus far, I think.

Nah, you can show some hatred towards them, because this album definitely underwhelms, at least in my opinion.

Ugh, I hate being the one to do this, but I'll come out and say it: the first four seasons of Two and a Half Men are better than most people give it credit, and that's putting aside the stupid-ass cult of personality that Charlie Sheen has for some reason (one of the big reasons I suspect people hate the show on

And now that he's married to Avril Lavigne… well shit, what music do they listen to during sex? I'm thinking about a medley of 'Figured You Out', 'Innocence', and 'This Is How You Remind Me'.

The odd fact is that his album art on Dream River bizarrely resembles a poster I have hanging in my den that I bought well over a year ago, so when I put both the album art and that poster in my review, it's uncanny.

Eh, I'm still quite mixed when it comes to The Killers, particularly now. Don't get me wrong, the first half of Battle Born is pretty damn solid with 'Flesh & Bone', 'Runaways', 'Here With Me', 'Matter Of Time' (best song on the album IMHO), 'Deadlines & Committments', and 'Miss Atomic Bomb', but the rest of that

…was I the only one hoping that since Les Mis was successful, somebody had been quietly working on greenlighting a Chess musical movie? Because that might kind of work if they get a decent cast (ie. not Russell Crowe).

Yeah, they have, which continues to piss me off. Push The Sky Away was such a damn, damn great album, but it's so unlike other Nick Cave material that I'm not surprised people are passing over it.

Oh, he completely is - but really, he makes it work in ways nobody could have expected with scenes that could only come from his brand of insanity.

And, funnily enough, there's where I think this new self-titled album does take steps in the right direction. It tries to move more towards the revolutionary angle, both in sound and in lyrical content. I wouldn't say they're there yet, but they're getting closer and they do have a couple very solid songs working in

I suspect I might be overselling this - hell, I AM overselling this - but I actually think this album is the strongest of their discography thus far.

1. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, 'Push The Sky Away' (it's missing from way too many lists, and there's no reason why)
2. Daft Punk, 'Random Access Memories'
3. Kacey Musgraves, 'Same Trailer, Different Park' (some of the best songwriting that has been released this year)
4. Kanye West, 'Yeezus'
5. Deep Purple, 'Now

@avclub-1d04064d540beb34e0cc414561bc6f35:disqus THANK YOU, glad someone else is on board with Don actually being a good character. I was listening to @avclub-7aee1b75b527e215f31e20a5c4e7a768:disqus 's podcast he did on The Newsroom (I think it was last week), and it blew my mind that Todd's general feelings on the

I can write a thousand word essay on why I loathe 'I Won't Give Up' by Jason Mraz with every fibre of my being.

You know, as many issues as I have with Girls, I want to see Adam Driver step up and beat three different Modern Family actors for the category (although Tony Hale would be fine too).

I think it's time to put a moratorium on news relating to Wayne Coyne and his bullshit…

Aww, don't say that, Don's the only character on this show I actually like (Thomas Sadoski doesn't get nearly enough credit). At least I buy that he's intelligent, and since Sorkin took steps to FINALLY ending his toxic relationship with Maggie, I'm looking forward to what happens next.
