What’s up with some automakers being so weirdly stingy about auto-up-down windows? On some cars, like my sister’s 2011 Prius, it has it for all 4 of them even though hers is a lower trim level. Same with my 2006 Chrysler 300 Touring, which is the middle trim. On my girlfriend’s 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT it only has it

I’ve had a mixed bag in Belgium. Typically people have been very abrasive. When my sister and I were driving from Amsterdam to Trier, a convenience store worker mopped over my sister’s feet while we were grabbing some snacks, among other incidents. Bruges was lovely though. Germans are much friendlier though.

The second things is decidedly NOT a trolley.

Really drives home how tight the programming at Quintet must have been. That’s some good code!

If you want to buy an expensive performance car that has a high cost of ownership and have it be a good “investment” the only answer is 911 and not using it much. Preferably at the bottom of the depreciation curve with a 996. You can definitely fine a decent 996 Turbo for recent M5 money or less, maintenance will be

Sounds like you need to get a better vacuum. Or a set of earplugs...

Man a lot of really stupid takes in the comments today. I’m disgusted with the rampant defensive victim blaming. Maybe if you spent some time being a pedestrian you’d see the issue.

I’m here to shill for PIAA, who also sell replacement blades. I don’t work for them, but I’ll swear by their 100% silicone blades! They work as well as Bosch ICONs with 2-3x the longevity.

Pick up a set of PIAA aero vogue. They have a beam style cover, and silicone blades. And they sell replacement rubber. So the blades themselves last 2-3x as long, and you can just replace the rubber when they do wear out. It’s possible their replacements would fit in other blades as well but not sure.

Other than the sliding side doors, what exactly differentiates a minivan and a 3-row that are both based on a transverse platform? Most minivans have increased ride height over the sedan, maybe a little less than the suv. To me it is just like hatchbacks and CUVs, a difference of barely any ride height, maybe a

Reducing drag is the name of the game. It’s possible to make a decent looking version of vehicles that are already sorta aerodynamically favorable, but it you’re trying to adapt a body style that isn’t... scaled up Prius shape is the main option. I do think the Taycan is a bit more attractive but it is the same

It really sucks that it doesn’t have the correct control mapping when using a GameCube controller, and that the analog triggers don’t work. Since the GameCube controller adapter is a thing, they should have made it work. I’m probably just gonna switch to Galaxy, even though Sunshine has so much nostalgia for me.

What I’m talking about is basically just the normal operation of the cooling system when it is being used for heating the air in the car. But instead of a second liquid to air heat exchanger like in the normal vehicle, the cold side of the radiator is hooked up to a thermostatically controlled liquid to liquid heat

Really, I think the most likely to be successful option would be to run the regular radiator up front, and and then add a counter flow heat exchange behind the cabin, with a jacuzzi pump circulating the cabin water. Then you might get reasonably close to a comfortable equilibrium temperature in the passenger

That’s a bit of a pointless statement. Without bothering to fact check the numbers, I’ll just point out that it is much easier for Europeans to move to the US than for Americans to move there, due to EU zone rules on hiring.

I was holding onto a glimmer of hope that Sunshine would be playable with a GameCube controller and the analog triggers would work. Any chance that is the case?

People always say that, but I think it is just a function of any big city at the wrong time of the day. I just drove from Ohio to Minneapolis through Chicago on I-90 and it was totally fine on a Sunday morning. It really helps to have an ez-pass though, but with covid they are just doing online pay anyway so you just

I’ve only driven it Southbound and it was great. I think it has a lot to do with time and day of the week.

Ah, battery powered wenches. Those were the days!

There are multiple 2zz swapped MR2 Spyders for sale as we speak! Go get ‘em!
