Whenever I comment on an article, it says “pending approval” and I need someone to reply or something to get out of the grey. This does not seem to be the case for all commenters but maybe I just don’t understand the system.

This is simply a test post!

Wow, I didn’t expect a response! I respect that stance. I haven’t seen the car, so if you haven’t done a post on it you should!

I’m sure that you’re joking. I think you are joking? I’m hoping you are joking!

You’re right. Most people aren’t discerning about much at all in their lives, and especially not about what they buy. They don’t cross-shop, read reviews, or do research. They just buy whatever crap they happened to have seen and ad for; whatever brand their parents bought, or their favorite rapper drinks or buys or

I don’t think it’s just an enthusiast conspiracy that people aren’t buying new manuals because they lock out the options.

Keep the Crossfire and the Durango, sell everything else. Advertise that you will fix low-income people’s cars for the cost of parts. Start doing that, and eventually turn it into some sort of non-profit. Maybe sell the house in the HOA and move to the country. Pick one or two project cars, that will ACTUALLY be worth

That’s odd, my uncle lived in Germany for many years and worked a “U.S. based” job the whole time. I’ll see if I can get more info from him and shoot you an email.

Nearby Hyundai dealership got ONE manual G70 this year. Sales guy told me they leased it out for $300 a month. Sad I missed that by a couple days!

This is true for humans in general.

Best part of living in Minnesota– we have the social safety net and relatively progressive politics of the Pacific Northwest(minus the weed) paired with the nonexistent vehicle inspections and regulations of the Midwest!

If you are still a resident of whatever state, and you work for a company that pays you in that state, you can just roll with it that way. Your state and federal income taxes will still be taken out. Especially if you own a home in the state, that is the most likely status. It’s not like they are gonna chase you down

They don’t put one on, because water bottle cages are cheap and people have their own preferences. Just buy one and use a hex wrench to put it on. You can get them for $5 at a secondhand bike equipment shop. They might even be willing to help you attach it.

Torch, sorry to burst your bubble, but plates are no longer embossed. In every jurisdiction I know of, they are entirely flat. So punching holes in them is WAY more complicated.

What’s the plan for features like emergency braking and other technical features in 10-15-20 years?

So many signs are pointing to bad too. I got my bachelor’s in biomedical engineering in December. I haven’t found a job yet. I’m hearing the same from mechanical, and even chemical and software engineers who are looking for entry level jobs. And experienced engineers who were doing contracting are out in the cold too.

The struggle is real even for those of us who can read decently in Japanese. It just ends up being such a slog looking stuff up. And usually you either get adult level with full kanji and no kana, or full kana. Either is relatively challenging if your vocabulary is rusty.

If they are doing it for looks I’d guess they’d go cast and save a fair bit.

I believe this was a feature offered on some models of Prius... and without the solar panel part, Teslas.

Most Ray’s I’ve looked at are ¥50000-80000 a wheel. A far cry from $1-2k per wheel.
