However, assembling another manufactures car (with the major parts pre-built (Engines, transmissions etc) then chucking in your own bits (Especially leftovers from previous models, sub-par parts that differ from the OEM specs) is

Doors off, windshield down is not fun on a hot day on a dusty trail being behind anyone. Windshield down while driving around over-grown BC Carwash side roads is a face whipping experience. For slow crawling it is awesome for visibility.

Ugh, you sir are correct. But you can go one better......add on big dark door window vent shades to the SX4. You really have to be extra careful looking out for peds. SWMBO loved and hated me for them (And the car, just for that pillar setup)
