I feel that at a work place, everyone should be wearing pants and dress shirts at least. We should all be tortured from the heat the same way.

Any tips for an aspiring sponsor funded racer? Currently self funded SpecE30 racer/SimRacer. Mechanical Engineering is my day job and I love working on cars, but don’t know how to branch out from there. Tips?
“Not going to even address your false equivalency argument” That is not how discussions work. Anything dangerous could be considered here. Guns, motorcycles, planes. People run out of talent often and die. Nothing special to see here.
Is it the car the problem? Or the user? What about lack of training to use that tool? or sensible use of said tool? We could almost tangent this into gun ownership. We have tools to kill. We have to learn how to use/own them without killing anyone. Some common sense would have kept them alive.
We are still forgetting the person who won a Darwin award.
Your name tag makes me a little worried. But you are correct and described the feeling I get at the track very well.
Mass is inertia. It is not loss, but it does take more energy to get it going, which will be recovered during braking.
OP is correct. Car was traveling way over 40 around 48 mph. Person was in the headlights at 2 seconds before the crash, which was around 100 feet before impact. A person would need to react almost a whole second and a half to even get on the brake, or swerve.
One thing ACs should drive at the limit of their sensor…
As long as ACs can be as good as humans I can say they are the best thing to come to driving. Dealing with morons on a daily basis is the reason why a lot of people hate driving.
Patreon.
Done and done.
Now this is great.
The difference between a race car and a street car while comparing same models is the rubber. All the rest is fine tuning.
What is this shit?
THIS IS WHY NO ONE LIKES JERRY.
After reading the comments one thing we need to conclude: There is no technology to see through objects. With that, blind spots will exist. With blind spots reaction time is critical and then physics come into play. Here it was a case of physics. 1 second is enough to detect threat, but not enough to stop the car…
Dude, there isn’t a closest drag strip. And track days are 200$ for autoclub speedway or 120 miles for the closest track. It’s not like the media will actually provide information on autocross events to people who need them anyway.
Can we just teach people how to drive?
Looks like a corvette to me.
At least he doesn’t talk about grid girls or women in racing.
Fuck this car, I want the one in the back.
It’s triple standard. Men vs Women Standard. Women Vs Men & finally Women VS Woman.
