TL;DR - I would never buy it for that price, but I voted nice price.

Am I being obtuse when I roll my eyes about the “future of the auto industry” forecasts being so doom and gloom? This has been a cyclical industry for over a hundred years. Electrification and autonomous cars are decades or more out from being the majority of vehicles on the road (electric) and feasible (autonomous).

Possible dumb question, but are Porsches typically bulletproof when it comes to long term quality? As opposed to Lambos that are basically meant to be parked because they need a new clutch every 10k miles.

Just wait a second...are you telling me a car that costs 67% more than another car is gonna be higher in quality?!? Get out. Next you’re gonna tell me Harbor Freight tools are inferior to contractor brands and subsidized housing isn’t as nice as lake front luxury units!!

“ And you start to blame yourself for being shitty or weak or spineless.”

Read that part 5 times trying to figure it out.

The idea that ‘what may be convenient for manufacturing and corporations may not be what is good for customers’”

Obligatory capitalism reference in every Ballaban article present and accounted for.

Good call lol

Yes, it’s the exact same thing. Exact. Same.

Since when has the Corvette ever shared it’s platform with another car?

This car is too high volume for dealer markups to be effective. Sure, a few idiot dealers will try it....followed by the customer driving 18 minutes to the next closest dealership and getting one for MSRP.

OK folks, after seeing the price, I need to seriously ask....what is the learning curve on a mid-engine car after drive front-engine cars your entire life? Because the NSX used to wreck my life at every corner in Gran Turismo.

Good bet.

COTD.

0.0% chance of that. Zr1 may approach $150k-$200k range, but not Z06. And the base model will not cost $100k.

it will not start in the 90s.

With today’s pony cars and super cars regularly putting out 500-800hp, the days of the third pedal are probably dead.

The new mid-engine C8 delivers one final insult to injury by doing the live reveal at 11PM EST, 3 hours after all of the boomers have went to bed.

Great reception to this propaganda piece LOL
