Speaking of wildly out of touch news....lol

Never understood the point of these. Gas savings are insignificant, possibly non-existent and performance is terrible. Maybe it’s for people who stress excessively when parking?

You could just buy a smaller car and let everyone else drive what they want.

Every single automaker benefited from cash for clunkers, but if you want to get technical, Japanese automakers overwhelmingly benefited the most as their lineups were more in line with the requirements. So did the US government bail out Japan?

Also wrong. Those loans, which according to your logic would mean Nissan was also bailed out by the government, had stipulations on what they could be used for.

Is there any chance this guy doesn’t have an Elon Musk poster on his wall and an Elon Musk quote on his Facebook profile?

Guarantee you this is a person that was whining about the “movie industry” jobs that were more than 100% subsidized by the government.

Ford wasn’t bailed out.

Neutral

The claim this seats 7 is more disingenuous than their “auto-pilot” advertising.

There is an amusing group-think within sections of the staff. You’ll see a word or phrase pop-up once for the first time, then it’s everywhere. I believe the 2018 Q4 fad term was “late-stage capitalism.”

Great book!

Yeah, stupid companies making products that make a profit instead of intentionally losing money making those that don’t!!!!

Because that’s a logical alternative conclusion. Hyperbole much?

True, but I think they’ve been able to manage a delicate balance since the financial meltdown and associated bailouts. A lot of the negative opinions of the UAW are warranted, but we should also give credit when they’ve cooperated and partnered in the success of the company.

In “there’s no such thing as a balanced, nuanced opinion anymore” news, the “Ford can fuck off” quote for stating their healthcare costs is a bit much. I was planning to read and support a UAW post pertaining to fighting over GM closing plants while moving jobs to Mexico (Blazer production), then I see a kid that is

If you’re in your 30's and grew up in a lower middle class area, you wanted one of these as your first car. Wicked nostalgia.

Waiting for official unveil to laugh at every poster on the internet saying the base Corvette is going to jump from $70k to $150k with the C8.

I second this. Never been a fan of the UAW, but as a knowledge worker, I still respect and appreciate opportunities for my neighbors to earn a nice living.
