RCP average hasn’t had 57% since 2009.

Yeah, that’s what I was seeing.

I see that The Independent gives a 57% quote from Gallup’s Nov. 7-13 polling. There are other major polls much lower, and a more recent Gallup number, slightly lower. I’ve made a hobby of gambling on this stuff—so I’m a little twitchy on a percentage point, or seven.

Oh, sorry, part of my other response re: The Independent citing of an older Gallup number was for another researcher.

Ok, thanks for the link to The Independent, which cites a one-week Gallup poll ending four days ago. Also, thanks for the link to RCP, which shows their average and the numbers from many polls, most of which are significantly lower than your number from your older Gallup.
