I'm still laughing at “men named Ben or Brad date about 28 different women named Lauren or Amber until selecting just one to propose to.”

"he reprised the role of Dracula seven times […] and has recounted"

Trying to pay for something with US currency?

Yes, but it's called hockey-goal-netflix.

De grass is always greener on other viewing platforms.

re: purging, I learned about markers. Will never be able to look at cheesy puffs the same again.

Timothy Dalton is walking around with a naked face on Penny Dreadful. Granted, his beard is not as established as the aforementioned 'staches, but it was nonetheless central to his character.

Ah, then they're also missing out on "self-involved parent neglects to pick up kid at school."

—I'll take care of it.
—You better. Or I'll get someone who will.

—still SPOILERy—

Pabst: "High! Not 'tithed'! We said we wanted to get high, Snoop!"

::unreliable parent makes it to child's recital just as the kid's performance starts::

This is SPOILERY for episodes 1-4, but I'll keep it vague:

There should be a moratorium on shouting "Let's get to work, people!"

There's no good in-universe reason for his being a wet rag. It's just the typical (but here gender-reversed) thing of having the Significant Other be opposed to the protagonist's job, even though it's part of the show's very premise.

… Or someone to shoot an innocent by mistake, because of the sensate mirages.

I figured that we've gotten enough of an ulterior motive from him—strike out on his own, business-wise—that there would be no need for an even deeper agenda. He's been pretty transparent toward Rachel about what he wants ("Help me with the investors") so the only possible subtext I see is regular lust/fake charm on

The *other* vibe I'm getting is that Rachel will embrace her horrible-ness rather than have a little crisis of regret right after every bad thing she does. By the end, she might end up as the boss, replacing Constance Zimmer.

She's indeed very good at manipulation. Which is horrible, but there's a certain pleasure in watching a person be great at their job. The *competence* makes it worth watching, though the results are often cruel.
