I didn't find Fisk's plan to "save" the city particularly satisfying. It's mostly bullshit, though the show clearly knows it: [SPOILERS] its best payoff is the "I'm a gangster" epiphany when he's rescued. (And even that is, by now, a pretty common trope.)

I don't understand the impulse to announce ahead of time what one's movie is going to be about, theme-wise. Is it to generate buzz? To forestall some sort of backlash?

In the finale, he makes a mad dash for the airport, hoping to reach Dany before she catches her flight.

This approach—this street-level world, with the visceral fighting and good sense of place—would be perfect for a Punisher series.

You're right; but there's also something very specific and odd going on: she has a good accent (i.e., is believable as a non-native speaker of English), but her actual Spanish is not 100%. Maybe she uses English every day but in surroundings where there are a lot of Spanish speakers.

An unusual parallel that I didn't find any particular meaning in is between Wilson Fisk's elderly mother and Ben's wife: both at care facilities and suffering from forgetfulness (not sure of the official diagnoses: senility, Alzheimer's?).

One of them oddly reminds me of the kid from "Love Actually" and "Game of Thrones," Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

The Spanish is bizarre, too. Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll)'s is excellent, with pauses and emphasis in the right places, as though the actress understands the meaning of the specific words, and the pronunciation is mostly great.
