And can they shoot?
And can they shoot?
I hadn’t thought of that, and would probably apply a good bit of reflector tape to the inside of the sub-tailgate for when it becomes the outside. (In the LED era, maybe even some red lights could be embedded in it without making them too vulnerable when the tailgate is in its normal position.)
This is brilliant... but the cost of being rear-ended just went thru the roof!
I believe the Chevy Colorado with the Duramax diesel would check all the boxes.
I knew a guy who replaced his “Aveo” badge with the classic “Chevette” one... and now he has it on his Bolt.
I actually love those colors... And for what’s worth, this is the best looking full-size sedan out of the big three. It’s miles ahead of the Impala and Taurus IMO
In parts of the country, particularly in the Midwest, which remain UAW strongholds and where buying a foreign car is still considered a faux pas among the mostly working class, brands like GMC, Cadillac, Lincoln, etc. are the top of the aspirational tree.
Depends on you definition of luxury. If comfort is you definition then a Yukon XL Denali is pretty luxurious. Much nicer to spend a long road trip in than an X5 or Q7 in my opinion.
I have a hard time considering something that shares the underpinnings with a Chevrolet, a luxury vehicle.
At first glance I thought this was a new Ford SUV concept. Curse you blue oval logos!
What’s more luxury, a loaded Yukon Denali or a base BMW? I guarantee the Yukon will have far more features, options, and “luxury”.
While I agree with you, don’t let Benz, BMW, Jag hear you talking that way. They would tell you that it is absolutely the badge/heritage that defines luxury. While that seems dumb to most people, drive thru a wealthy neighborhood and look at the cars in the driveway. Even though they could get a tricked out Acadia,…
How can a Mercedes M-class be considered more of a luxury vehicle than a tricked out Acadia?
There’s nothing inherently less luxurious about a luxurious trim of a GMC than something badged Mercedes or BMW. The badge doesn’t make a vehicle luxurious. The equipment/feel/ride do.
Yeah, I can’t really wrap my head around this. When you’re buying a luxury vehicle, you’re buying it for the badge, to show off to strangers the fact that you’ve “made it.” No matter how much you spent on your GMC Yukon, nothing about that badge is going to make strangers on the highway think that you’re an important…
To your average buyer who’s getting heated leather seats, a powerful engine, fancy cruise control, backup cameras and a bunch of other options—what’s the difference?
Honest question: Can a GMC be considered a luxury vehicle? One could argue that the Denali is just a luxurious trim of a basic vehicle... I don’t consider the Grand Cherokee Summit a luxury vehicle despite it being very luxurious, it’s just a fancy trimmed Jeep.
That is the first time those two vehicles have been mentioned in the same sentence. Bravo.
Besides a Jag E-Type, it would have to be a Dodge Ram SRT-10.
