Dang, and here I thought it was because Brian owed Dom a 10-second car.

Why does actual aerodynamics and energy efficiency go out the window when people design autonomous cars? “We don’t have to drive it anymore, so who cares if it uses more energy or not when moving?”
1) Convertial is not a word, I think you just mean convertible.
Assuming he can shower and change his clothes by himself, those are not actual jobs... but someone did actually have to lift that fat to spray orange body paint in the sweaty crevices.
You are proving my point. If that is the benefit of the moves, say that.
I think by moving women, minorities, and different country’s members to your board, you not only improve visibility & opinion among those customer groups, but you gain a better inherent understanding of what those customers want.
I thought it was going to be a picture of a Nissan Cube.
And I found my least desirable job in the world... the person who had to lift Clarkson’s 2nd and 3rd chin to paint orange underneath.
Will they still throw a V8 in the AMG version or will AMG build a new straight-6 engine?
I’d hope they are promoting on merit, but I know that the Japanese OEMs in particular KEPT women from advancing. Any progress in this area should be highlighted.
How does Toyota mentioning the gender and ethnicity of new promotions direct the future of the company in regards to its position in the market? I guess I fail to understand how saying this but not mentioning the merits that those individuals bring to the table helps anyone? If she is the best candidate for x and y…
What happened with the housing market was banks and other financial institutions giving people who weren’t qualified loans for houses they couldn’t afford with low initial monthly payments. The mortgages started off fixed, but switched over to variable after a few years and as people’s home payments jumped, they were…
It’s more internet bubble than housing market. It spits in the face of a lot of financial markers and stock analyses. They are not a healthy company financially. I assume the valuation is based on spinning toward home solutions and charging infrastructure, not vehicle assembly.
Isn’t this what happened with the housing market a decade ago? Tons of money being thrown around like crazy with nothing more than empty promises to base it on? I mean investors can think Tesla is worth all of this money, but the truth is investing in Tesla is more of a risk than the housing market was assumed to have…
Fair enough, but I still don’t think it’s something that happens so frequently in ICE cars that it’s a major concern for EV practicality and adoption. (The number one reason cars need to be towed are engine problems, by a long shot, and that’s something that EVs are far less likely to experience due to the…
I’m an ideas man, not an implementation guy lol
What a great idea!
By 2030 we’ll have realized we don’t have enough raw materials to make all these batteries so we’ll be running on hydrogen instead, like we should have done in the first place.
I agree that would be the most ideal way to commute, but just to play devil’s advocate, what happens when inevitably something causes an accident? Deer, pedestrian, bad weather, etc. In a perfect world, a road is just for cars and it is always dry and clear from other things and debris, but until roads are completely…
To be fair, ICE cars are losing their range as they sit there, engines running.
