When are mass production OEs going to offer unique paint finishes like the one on that Viziv for their cars? A matte finished Equinox would look WAY better than the crap they put on the roads currently.

What’s the big deal? I’ve heard of a guy whose ‘64 DB5 roof would explode off and the seats would shoot up in the air too. He never complained.

Once the car drives itself to work, I want that hour of me riding in to count as on the clock time so I can get work done and my time in the actual office is lowered.

Blame VW. Anything diesel related is automatically their fault.

Body Moisture Wear

My wife dropped her car off at discount tire to have them look at her leaky tire... they then proceeded to back it out of the garage and hit a parked car that they claimed “wasn’t supposed to be there”. The car is still at the body shop being worked on all the while with a loaner tire from Discount on it. That was 3

It is easily the ugliest looking Aston I’ve ever seen... that being said, it’s still an Aston which makes it better looking than 98% of everything else out there. It just so happens that the rest of the Aston range makes up the other 2%.

At least he wasn’t screaming along with a certain NWA song...

If I’m the other driver, I’m slowly driving in reverse so his car is continually creeping closer to run him over again... like a lion about to pounce.

See? There was some benefit from Cars & Coffee accidents...

It would have to be Satan himself’s car, a Chevrolet Equinox.

you may missing a word in your title

You said they have skimped out on passenger side protection... while that may be true to a certain extent, the test was only for the driver’s side so they reinforced the cars for that test. You can’t hold it against them that they didn’t account for a test they were never asked to take in the first place.

Cost is a big one and also weight. OEs are shaving every ounce and gram as they can on a vehicle to try and improve the fuel economy. I’m sure they were already trying to make back the additional weight of the driver’s side reinforcement somewhere else on the car, now they have to do the same with the passenger’s

So wait... you’re telling me that there could indeed be an ancient underground temple where every 100 yrs Predators will go and attempt to kill Xenomorphs???

A lot of OEs will include a patch and inflator kit instead of a spare, cheaper and lighter than carrying the extra tire.

I drove a VW while working at one of the Big 3... you don’t know fear until you’ve been threatened by Union workers.

Well these are the same investors who lost billions when they invested in solid growth numbers and profits from SUV/trucks back in the early 2000's, so maybe they assume that this time they would take the opposite approach and invest in no profits and not even meeting production goals?

I certainly hope not... I love a good diesel with a manual transmission. Until they figure out a way to make electric/hybrid cars that much fun to drive and still get 40+ mpg, I really hope diesels stay in some capacity.

It hasn’t changed my opinion whatsoever. I bought my TDI for gas mileage and it was awesome! I could not care less about the emissions or being “green”, if I did I would have bought an electric car. If they can sell me a sedan that gets 45mpg and has three pedals for under $25k, I’ll give them my money again in a
