At the charity I work in England one of our volunteers is an elderly Iranian widow with no children whose closest relative, her brother, lives in Nevada. Every two or three years she has gone over for a week or so to visit him and enjoy the warmth (even after thirty years here she still suffers from the cold).

But I can’t imagine (perhaps it’s just hope) that museum curators would take kindly to being told what to display. Like librarians, whatever their views they would defend their independence and I imagine the pushback could be quite entertaining.
