So MLB won't use a provision that, by all sorts of reasonable interpretations, could reach this case because:

(1) It was designed for something else, long ago;

(2) They've not invoked it before;

(3) And Bud Selig promised not to use it in a "letter"?

Good one, Mahler!

The Kids in the Hall . . .

ahead of their time:

I just saw this on Fox News.

They're calling it a "Terrorist Zip Snap."

Well that's only because the 28th Amendment is about gun racks and sugary beverages.

Duh!

Read the Constitution, why dontcha?

And according to this, Rick Perry played football:

GWB was also a yell-leader, though this time at Yale.

Same job, different school, same politics.

I might add that Iniesta is a touch overrated and Xavi starting looking very old very fast.

Whatever the case, I think Pep will do well with and by Martinez. He's gotta remember how vital Claude Makelele was to Real and Chelsea and France, no?

That's true, no doubt.

Scary for the rest of the world, but true.

Sorry about the rough patch, though it's terrain I know well. I hope it passes soon, and I hope too that you'll let me know if I can help. Seriously.

And, for now, don't beat yourself about the britches or the readiness. Some things you can hurry. Some things you can't.

Shaqiri? Really? Interesting. I guess if there's any manager who doesn't care if his strikers are small, it's Pep.

But don't you think he'd still love to add Lewo to the mix? Mandzukic and Pizarro are nice options to have, but not worldbeaters. And can you imagine stationing Lewo up top with Ribery and Robben

Didn't Bayern offload Mario Gomez at least in part because they figured they'd be bringing a new striker or two (Lewo?) on board?

(I don't think Thiago is exactly the replacement . . . .)

Energy or, giving his politics, anything else.

He could've said the Department of Justice and no one would've been surprised . . . .

That's no good, even if you are great at the snark.

Any light at the end of this tunnel?

You've gotta like the Adidas, though, no?

Very Run DMC . . . .

As it should.

And get harassed by Howard Stern.

(You well, Fluter? Better day?)

And repent!

Who's Third?

I hope he sues them.

Parents Wade Boggs and Margo Adams could hardly be prouder.
