Mask Island clearly shook like crazy on top of the water, which suggests it's actually somehow floating - and so when Jasper fell into the crack that formed, she just… went straight into the ocean. Granted, that raises the question of how did the island crack, but…

The best part is that we don't even know if it's a two-parter! It's a mini-movie/"multiepisode story arc" according to Hirsch, so a THREE parter actually seems to be more likely, really.

Just a thing - Finn ISN'T the comet that hit way back in Evergreen, that one was all green and lich-y. We have seen him as a comet before though, all the way back in the Vault! It's likely he was one of the OTHER many catalist comets that have hit the Earth.

The Lich is clearly more evil, but it's easier to hate Martin because he's more relatable as something that exists in reality - A bad father.
