Sounds like you didn’t like Breath of the Wild too much...which...cool.

Nah...just very different design process.
I totally get what you’re saying here...but I also think the weapon system was relatively intrinsic to the experience of the game.
Wait, did you really just argue that there is no impetus in journalism for holding people and institutions accountable? Umm...you might want to go take a look at the Pulitzers. Almost all of them were given for in some way holding those in power accountable for what they say and do. Why do you think fact checking is…
What is that second game (with the ship)?
They are also part of a narrative tradition that gets reversals of dynamics all the time. The mythic and fairy tale structures of the past have been under scrutiny for decades now. Wonder Woman is a representation of a flip of those structures along specifically gendered lines. So are a whole slew of fairy tale movies…
It wouldn’t be the same story. This story relies heavily on the tropes of the previous games to make it what it is (we are seeing in Zelda the frustration of her being held in a single position since the original). Link wouldn’t have that same history, and so it would likely involve a very different kind of story.
I think it is partially about numbers, and the fact that toxic gamers have more than once banded together for significantly increased assholery.
I agree, but getting the kind of gamers who are toxic to pay attention enough to the more educational material needed to build empathy would be...difficult. Any effort at this I think shrinks the toxic community, but does it do it in ways significant enough to make an impact on the lives of developers willing to put…
One of the reasons I have enjoyed kickstarting games is developers on it have often taken time to explain changes and give more insight into development.
?
Well that was incredibly adorable. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
Saw this yesterday. Gave me a chance to stock up on Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel.

I don’t know. One of many ways people deal with this kind of stress is humor. This low-key attempt to still have fun on a day they went out to enjoy (and likely spent a significant sum doing so) seems very appropriate, especially since the major threat was likely considered to be dealt with.
This is more myth than reality. Games that treat women with respect do just fine, at least when they are advertised well and get the same kind of development as games that...you know...don’t treat women well.
There are certain bows that are sniper bows. They zoom in when you aim and fire a lot further.
The only thing that has bugged me about it so far is I wish there was some sort of indicator for the buffs I am putting on my team (or at least I haven’t seen one). With as much of a dance as combat can be on the hard mode, more information wouldn’t go amiss sometimes.
In Destiny, it’s designed to be played quite a bit in short bursts. Strikes tend to run from 15 to 20 minutes a piece, and you can get quite a bit done in a relatively short period of time.
I don’t know. I know you’re getting a lot of kick back for this, but honestly, I just kinda want to talk about it.
Figuring this stuff out is always difficult for me, partially because I travel a significant amount and so have a high powered laptop rather than a desktop PC.
