Agree with the others. Please don't start exclusively doing videos.  We all enjoy reading over here

hey, if the cat died and has been sci-fied into a form that allows it to continue to be a cat friend, who are we to complain

It said Holiday 2020. That’s CRAZY. Seems like it might be an Uncharted: Lost Legacy-esque title that basically just builds off of the foundation of the prior game.

What is this, a console for ANTS?!

In response to whoever inevitably complains that they still haven’t seen a box they won’t be able to buy until November: have some perspective. The PS5 simply is not the most important thing in the world right now.

Thankfully, Microsoft set the bar really low with that one. If Sony actually PLAYS a few games, they will surpass it.

I have both too and use them for different things at this point. My Xbox One is basically a dedicated Game Pass device where I check out games I’ve missed, while I use PS4 mostly for Sony’s first-party exclusives (everything else I basically play on PC).

No squeezing in that last bit. That was impressive.

I kinda respect that approach, because it means framerate is based on developer intent. If a developer wants to make a simpler-looking game that runs at 120 fps, they can. If they want to push the console to its limit and make a game that has the most detailed graphics but runs at 30 fps, they also can.

The new “Standard” should be options. At the very least native 1080p x 60 fps for a “performance mode” or a “Graphics mode” at 4k x 30 fps minimum. Basically exactly what Monster Hunter World does. Give people choice in how they want to play their games.

The people who are throwing a fit right now need to get a grip. I remember the weeping and gnashing of teeth that occured when Black Flag was running at 900p on PS4, and all of that turned out to be for nothing because we eventually got PS4 titles that look BONKERS amazing like God of War, Horizon, Naughty Dog’s

My theory is that a lot of people are scared by the idea that a virus this bad could just come out of nature and that it would only take a couple people bad at their jobs to make it momumentally worse, to them the idea that people are planning the whole thing is comforting. They already know people are evil and that

I wouldn’t even call it transparency, just consistency and clear expectation setting.

What’s even sadder is that I watched the “gameplay” reveal and thought “is that it? That looks worse than pretty much any PS4 first-party game”.

Now playing

sorry, I’m only interested in one Golfing video game.

The new ownership is turning this site to shit. Auto-play ads, everybody is quitting...these sites are starting to feel like they’re in the early stages of the death spiral.

the game was officially released early in many parts of the world tho

Later, I half-jokingly asked Gross what Naughty Dog has against dogs, given that I’d just killed a bunch of them and given even more traumatic separation anxiety.

A different podcast discussing the episode put it best: the show feels like a Wikipedia entry of itself right now.
